Committed to a fair and responsible approach, respectful of Humans and his environment, Puressentiel supports many causes and associations that share the same values.

In France and Belgium, we have been supporting 11 organic beekeepers, in conversion, PDOs, beginners... of the 'Un Toit Pour les Abeilles' network since 2018.
This network contributes to the protection of bees and the development of colonies in France and Belgium, and thus to the protection of biodiversity.
In particular, by protecting the Black Bee ('Apis Mellifera Mellifera Mellifera'), a species once dominant in Europe: today in France there are barely 10% Black Bees. It is the ancestral bee, our original bee, the one that resisted both periods of glaciation. It is now under threat.
The Puressentiel Foundation participates in the preservation of the plant heritage of the Flores Island, Indonesia, with 'Coeur de Forêt' association. This association has been active since 2005 to protect and enhance the value of forests and people around the world. Flores Island is located in the small islands of Indonesia's Sunda Islands.
This island is heavily affected by the practice of slash-and-burn farming. Deforestation is on the rise and is affecting more and more areas that are still rich in biodiversity. It can only be stopped by implementing economic solutions and raising public awareness.
The reforestation of endemic trees in a systemic way with sandalwood, a tree of high economic value, makes it possible to:
- raise awareness among populations, adults and children alike, of the need to preserve biodiversity;
- protect fauna and flora from local fire deforestation practices.
The use of sandalwood generates new revenues and will allow the sustainability of this environmental and economic project. And then... we have a crush on its essential oil which is part of our range of single essential oils.
The Puressentiel Foundation is taking part in the fight against the dramatic deforestation in Madagascar with the Humada association by planting 10,000 endemic trees (moringas with a thousand resources) in the Mikea forest near Tulear. The three-strong axes of their actions are: health, the education of children and the environment, especially with the new climate challenges we're currently facing.
In 11 years, Humada has built 11 schools, middle and high schools in this region, in partnership with the Malagasy education system.
In 2018, the "first generation" of students from a "Humada" school did their A-level exams!
In Haiti, with the association 'Un Enfant Par La Main', we are building a water basin in the northwestern part of the 'Chaîne des Matheux', which has only benefited from rare development projects for decades. The difficult access to water is one of the most important issues in the area. Our project is part of a plan to build 3 basins.
Thus, local families will have easier access to water for agricultural use (watering market gardening and forestry nurseries, watering livestock) but also for domestic use, to facilitate daily life (cooking, laundry, personal hygiene, crockery).
By reducing water collection times for women and children, this facilitates education.
Finally, these basins help to combat runoff, soil erosion and agricultural land degradation.
In France, with the association 'Enfance & Partage', by participating this year in the development of a prevention program against all forms of violence against children, set up in schools, middle school, and high schools in 2020.
For 11 years, Puressentiel's support to the association includes features in Puressentiel limited editions, communication on Puressentiel's social networks and special offers on our website.
In Madagascar, the 'Aromathérapie Sans Frontières' association provides access to healthcare in this under-medicated country, using traditional medicines, including aromatic medicine, with the full agreement of the health authorities. The Puressentiel Foundation supports the association 'Aromathérapie sans Frontières' created by Pierre Franchomme, a world-renowned aromatherapy expert. A dispensary was opened in 2014 in Antsirabé, the country's third-largest city, to provide therapeutic follow-up for children in public schools.
...And works for the opening of infirmaries in public primary schools to accommodate 900 students.
The endowment of the Puressentiel Foundation guarantees the decent annual remuneration of the doctors and employees of the dispensary: 2 doctors, 1 nurse, 2 nursing assistants, 1 secretary, 1 anthropologist, as well as 1 pharmacy assistant.
In Lebanon, the association 'Les Petits Soleils' provides schooling and healthcare for children (including refugees) without medical coverage, regardless of religious denomination. The Puressentiel Foundation's endowment is being used to support the schooling of refugee children and a greater number of children with special health needs:
- No more management of specialized prostheses, glasses, artificial crystalline lens, corneal transplants...
- Coverage of ophthalmic pathologies: strabismus, congenital cataracts
- Hospital costs
- Orthopedic prostheses: scoliosis in particular
- The free nature of the interventions and follow-up being totally ensured for ophthalmology.
