The Puressentiel Foundation: Protection of Childhood

"APPI" PROJECT (EMPOWERMENT, PREVENTION, PROTECTION, INTEGRATION)

IN BEIRUT, LEBANON, THE PURESSENTIEL FOUNDATION SUPPORTS APPRENTIS D'AUTEUIL, A FOUNDATION THAT WORKS WITH THE MOST VULNERABLE YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES.

In 2024, the Puressentiel Foundation is supporting the "APPI" project to help nearly 300 young girls (aged 6 to 21) in vulnerable situations and 400 families in the Beirut region of Lebanon.
The project takes place in three centres run by the Sœurs du Bon Pasteur, a local partner of the Apprentis d'Auteuil Foundation: the Dora social centre, the Ain Saadeh hostel and the Collège du Bon Pasteur in Hammana.
The Good Shepherd Sisters have been working with vulnerable women and girls since 1893, particularly in the areas of protection and prevention, and have developed a holistic approach to caring for young girls from disadvantaged backgrounds who are victims of violence.

This project contributes to 6 MDGs: No. 1: No poverty, No. 3: Good health and well-being, No. 4: Quality education, No. 5: Gender equality, No. 10: Reduced inequalities, and No. 16: Peace, justice and effective institutions.

A HOME FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FACED WITH ILLNESS

IN TURIN, ITALY, THE PURESSENTIEL FOUNDATION SUPPORTS "CASAOZ", A HOME FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FACED WITH ILLNESS.

CasaOz contributes to building resilience in families with sick or disabled children, through a positive reorganisation of daily life, the maintenance of social relationships and the awareness that well-being is closely linked to the relationship with the environment in which we live.
In 2024, support from the Puressentiel Foundation will help to expand the vegetable garden and to design an eco-designed apiary with the beneficiaries of the CasaOz project in Turin, Italy.
So, in addition to actions that help maintain and develop relationships (such as cooking and environmental education workshops, outings and holidays in the countryside, and activities to help people become self-sufficient), this collective vegetable garden project will enable specific educational and teaching activities to be carried out.

This project meets 7 SDGs: No. 3: Good health and well-being, No. 4: Quality education, No. 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure, No. 10: Reduced inequalities, No. 11: Sustainable cities and communities, No. 12: Sustainable consumption and production patterns and No. 13: Measures to combat climate change.

3,000 MATHS KITS FOR OVER 7,200 DYSPRAXIC PUPILS

IN FRANCE AND FRENCH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES, THE PURESSENTIEL FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE ASSOCIATION LE CARTABLE FANSTASTIQUE, WHOSE MISSION IS TO HELP CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES, PARTICULARLY DYSPRAXIA, TO BE INCLUDED IN SCHOOL.

In 2024, the project supported by the Puressentiel Foundation for 2024, to provide over 7,000 dyspraxic pupils with 3,000 free maths kits, will enable dyspraxic pupils to acquire the same maths skills as their peers, to do the same exercises and achieve the same educational objectives, at the same time, but with a medium that suits them and enables them to compensate for their disability.
These kits will therefore help dyspraxic pupils in mathematics, enabling them to learn without being hindered by their disability, but also restoring their confidence in their abilities. This greater success at school will also mean greater social success as an adult later on, with preserved self-esteem.

This project meets 2 MDGs: No. 4: Quality education and No. 10: Reduced inequalities.
