IMPROVING HYGIENE CONDITIONS IN 20 SCHOOLS BY INSTALLING 100 HAND-WASHING STATIONS FOR 20,000 PUPILS
In 2024, the Puressentiel Foundation will make a concrete contribution to improving hygiene conditions in 20 schools by installing 100 hand-washing stations for 20,000 pupils in the communes of Bambey, Diourbel and Tocky Gare, in the Diourbel region of Senegal.
The aims of the project are to:
- Prevent the spread of disease in schools
- Improve the learning environment for children
- Raise awareness and educate the school community about good hygiene practices
- Reduce absenteeism.
- The lack of water and latrines in schools is a major factor in school drop-out and failure, particularly among girls.
